Reverend Dr. Jim Hill
Pastor

Jim graduated from University of Central Oklahoma with a Bachelor of Arts in History and Speech Education in 1984.  He worked as a debate coach and history teacher at Mustang High School for 7 years before receiving his call to ministry in 1991. He then attended Iliff School of Theology in Denver, CO and earned his Master of Divinity in 1994.  He studies at Brite Divinity School at Texas Christian University where he received his Doctor of Ministry in 2007.

Jim has been pastoring United Methodist churches since 1994.  He served as the pastor at Warner UMC and the director of the Wesley Foundation at Connors State College for four years.  Then he was appointed to the Ridgecrest United Methodist Church, in OKC, where he served for twelve years.  In 2010, he moved to Hennessy First United Methodist Church, where he served for seven years before coming to First United Methodist Church Stigler in June of 2017.

Jim and his wife LuAnn (an elementary teacher in Quinton) have three grown children - two recent 2020 college graduates.  He enjoys family time, travel, reading and creating stained glass masterpieces.
