Imperfect in Humanity Forgiven by God’s Grace

We are men, women, children of all races and backgrounds - some born here, some relocated and returning for family ties, some we aren’t even sure how or why they are here and our body of Christ is just so glad they have decided to make Stigler, Oklahoma their home.

Our church family is predominately Methodist; however, we have members from a multitude of Christian backgrounds and theologies and some that never heard the message or word of God. We are a loving and giving church family that believes in doing good in our community and the world by loving all people.

...because I hear about your love for all his people and your faith in the Lord Jesus.
— The Holy Bible, Book of Philemon 1:5

MEMBERSHIP

We would love to have you join our church family at First United Methodist Church Stigler! We believe that any baptized person is baptized into the “whole” church.  Any person who has been confirmed or joined a church has joined the whole church.  Each local church is where we are fed and challenged to grow as disciples. Ways to become a member at First United Methodist Church Stigler are:

  • Simply expressing your desire to be art of our church family on any Sunday - this is an official statement normally done during the last hymn of the worship service when our pastor gives an invitation.

  • You may join by transfer of membership if you have an active membership in a church somewhere else
You may have your membership restored if you have no active membership

  • If you have never joined a church, you may join by professing your own faith in Jesus Christ. If you have never been baptized, we would be overjoyed to share in that exciting time with you

Although we do not currently offer a membership class due to the small community we live in, if you want to learn more about the United Methodist Church our pastor would be very happy to meet with you personally.
